I’ve been using inkscape for a while, but I just started using it for animation

Hopefully inkscape will add some real mechanisms to support animation soon. I think it could be achieved very simply by adding a few features:
- copy an entire layer (with all it’s sublayers and objects
- use a naming convention so that an “export animation” would export each layer which matched the regular expression “frame[0-9]+” as “frame[0-9]+.png”
This way the layer system could be reused as frames… just my $0.02
